What's Up Wednesday February 21, 2024 #108

Ken Tuley ·

With all the emphasis on birthdays this President's day week, we got to thinking about the need to have a stock of items for that last minute gift. This week on What's Up Wednesday we have a number of options for you to consider adding to your stock of stand-by gifts.

First up, the animal warmies are back in stock, mostly. These cuddly descendants of the first aeronauts, the Rooster, Sheep and Duck, are about 8 inches tall and each is wearing a Balloon Fiesta Bandana in a random color. The Rooster and Sheep are back in stock now, the Duck must have taken a detour to check out the water in the Rio Grande, but should be here soon. These make great gifts for everyone on your list and gives you the opportunity to tell the story of these first to fly in a balloon back in 1783.

Another thought is the ever popular sticker. But not just one, we have 17 different variations of small and 21 variations of the large weatherproof vinyl stickers. They feature some of our favorite Special Shape balloons, regular shape balloons, and of course Balloon Fiesta logos. There's even a sheet with 9 different Special Shapes. Buy a stack them to keep on hand when you need that quick and fun go-to item. We might even throw in a Balloon Fiesta Live! Sticker for those of you who buy a stack of stickers.

Finally this week, we have a new collection of our one-of-a-kind shadow box creations. These locally made beautiful and intricate designs capture the whimsy and magic of hot air balloons. The artwork features a large, brightly colored hot air balloon with intricate detailing. The balloon itself is made up of a variety of colors and patterns, including bold stripes and swirling designs. Due to the unique nature of these items, we can't really make them available online. Stop by the Gift Shop and make your choice, available in 3 different sizes.

Thanks for your support of Balloon Fiesta and Balloon Fiesta Stuff. See you online, in the Gift Shop, or right back here next week for another What's Up Wednesday.
